Lifestyle Post: VACATION SPOTS

During my December break myself and my family took a long deserved vacation overseas to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Montego Bay in Jamaica and Miami, Florida. To be totally honest I really didn't enjoy Punta Cana. I felt as if I was in a one horse village... it was extremely rural and undeveloped (NOT what I had expected). We stayed at The Sivory... the rooms were good, but not much to do in the resort. The greatest experience there was out trip to a little Island called Saona Island. It was absolutely beautiful, white sand and crystal clear waters.

Montego Bay, Jamaica was thee most amazing holiday destination! Jamaican people are friendly, the food is delicious (especially the Jerked Chicken and Curried Goat), the beaches are beautiful (especially Negril) and boy-oh-boy do those Jamaican's love to party and drink. We stayed at the Secret St. James in Montego Bay. This all adult resort has it all. Beautiful ocean-front rooms, white sandy beaches, nine upscale restaurants, watersports, clubbing, you name it they've got it. Did I fail to mention that this resort is all inclusive... yip, that means that everything is "free" during your stay... food, drinks, watersport, the lot!! A must-go-to spot in Jamaica is a cool place called Rick's Cafe, where you can enjoy the beautiful oceanic scenery, cocktails, great good and even cliff-jumping.

Our final stop was Miami, Florida. We stayed at The Viceroy Hotel. Stunning hotel with a great club (Club 50). The rooms and suites at The Viceroy are stunning and big (which is rare to find). This was my fourth visit to Miami and it still remains one of the best places to shop... of course I induged whole-heartedly in it. We visited Lincoln Road, Bal-Harbour and Aventura Mall which are all great shopping destinations. Of cause, no Miami trip is complete without going to Ocean Drive (which has great beaches, restaurants and hotels)

Overall I loved my December vacation... enjoyed my well deserved rest & relaxation. I am finally prepared for 2012... LET'S MAKE THIS AN AMAZING YEAR!
